With the Autel Robotics EVO Drone it has never been easier to take flight with a drone that offers pro features such as being foldable into a compact form for travel, a camera that shoots high-quality images and video, and an app that provides for advanced settings and sophisticated drone automation maneuvers.
Included in the box are the drone, aircraft remote controller, power cable, charger, battery, 3 pairs of propellers, micro-USB and USB-C cables, a 32GB micro storage card, and manuals. The camera has a 3-axis stabilizing gimbal and records up to 4K resolution at up to 60 frames per second, with a recording speed up to 100mbps with H.264 or H.265 codecs. The glass lens takes photos at up to 12 megapixels. The drone offers roughly 30 minutes of flight time per charge with a range of about 4.3 miles. The included micro storage card holds approximately 1 hour of 4K video. The drone weight is about 1.9 pounds.
The drone is compact and foldable, making it perfect to take with you on travel. The remote controller has a 3.3-inch OLED screen so you can see flight information or a live 720p HD video feed of the drone’s camera so you don’t need a mobile a device. The controller includes a mobile device holder–I use it with an iPhone 7+. Using your own mobile device allows you to control your drone with the Autel Explorer app (iOS or Android), which includes advanced settings and other features such as Dynamic Track, Viewpoint, and Waypoint Mission Planning.
In addition to taking great images and video recordings, the drone is also practical, especially for getting a literal bird’s eye view of things. We had a bad storm and the next morning I was able to easily and quickly survey my rooftop for damage with the drone!
All in all I am very happy with the Autel Robotics EVO Drone. This drone is easy enough to fly that a beginner should have no problems, though there are also many advanced features to explore as the user gains more experience. The camera quality allows you to capture professional images and video, and the drone’s compact form makes travelling with it ideal. This is a great drone.
