For those who like to get together the next day’s clothes, and who especially want to make sure those clothes stay pressed, the Mind Reader Metal Valet Suit Rack Stand, Silver may be just what you need.
In the box you get the valet stand parts and a sheet of assembly instructions. Though assembly is required (it took about ten minutes), the only tool needed is a hex wrench, which is included.
The only issue I had on unpacking and putting the valet together was that the wooden base plate (laminated composite wood) had a semi-circular scratch on the top. The overall packaging seemed fine–the base came in a box placed within the main package box, which was within Amazon’s shipping box. Thus, I can only imaging that the damage to the base happened at the factory.
The stand also includes four plastic spacers that can stick to the bottom of the wooden base in order to protect your floors.
Once assembled, the valet stand is about 46" high, 18" wide, and 12" deep, and weighs less than 5 pounds. Though it is very light and is easily moved around the house, I would not travel with it. Due to the stand’s very delicate construction, it might not be robust enough.
All in all, this is an inexpensive valet stand that can help keep you organized and looking sharp. Most of the weight is in the base of the stand, so even after hanging a heavy leather jacket and pants, it did not seem like the stand was going to tip easily.
