Just a quick note.
After a lot of guitar practice, and practice with a band, I’m happy to say that we totally rocked Richmond, Virginia in my first public performance!
We alternated eight-song sets with another band and kept Sharky’s Bar hopping.
In the pic we are on our final number (#16) and you can see we filled the dance floor.
I played electric guitar on all of our Americana-themed songs, and I also sang and played for two songs: Runnin’ Down a Dream by Tom Petty and the HeartBreakers, and The Wolf by Mumford and Sons.
Here’s the full Americana setlist we performed:
Set 1
- Southern Man
- Big Yellow Taxi
- When Will I Be Loved
- R.O.C.K in the USA
- My Silver Lining
- Have You Ever Seen the Rain
- Stop Draggin My Heart
- Wrong Year
Set 2
- The Wolf
- Ho Hey
- On the Road Again
- Me and Bobby McGee
- You’re No Good
- Old Man
- Running Down a Dream
- Chicken Fried
By the way, the guitar I’m holding in the pic is my new [Epiphone Les Paul Studio Goth](http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002GFTH6/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_.x51vb1B0VN9P&tag=kytc-20&linkId=ZX4ZTQGCAM5FKPTO).
Here’s an [unboxing video I made about the guitar](https://youtu.be/3WdZ4_YZySU):
