Today I wanted to take a look at a new surveillance system, the Q-See QT5716-9L6-1 16 Channel Surveillance System. I’ll follow-up this post with a review of the system’s features and performance.
Inside the big outer box are the components of the system, each in their own separate box.
In this video, I do an unboxing of the surveillance system:
This is a nice surveillance system, with eight cameras, a pan-tilt-zoom camera, and a DVR with a 1TB harddrive for capturing capturing 960×480 pixel video at 30FPS on each of its 16 channels.
The cameras are solidly built and are weatherproof, for indoor or outdoor use, and they include night vision!
The system also comes with long power and video cables, remote control, and all mounting hardware, so it really seems like it will be easy to put together and to use. Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel or check back here for the second half of my review, where I test the system’s performance.
All in all, I’ve been impressed with the quality of the components, so I’m really looking forward to hooking everything together and seeing what this system can do.
