Here’s an unboxing and first printing of the Epson Expression Home XP-410 Wireless Color Inkjet Printer with Scanner and Copier.
Look, not everyone can afford a laserjet printer. A quality inkjet printer like this Epson is able to fill the gap for those who need quality printing as well as scanning and copying functions from their printer.
This printer allows wireless printing (or wired) and is easily configured and operated with its LCD touch-panel.
Also, note that, once configured, you don’t even need a computer in order to print–you can take the memory card directly from your camera, insert it into the printer, and print away.
Note that I ran into a bit of trouble during the setup because, with a Mac, the included CD of installation software actually didn’t include any software to install–the CD just directed me to an online webpage. In my studio I did not have Internet access, so I had to leave, go to a place with Internet, download and install the software, then continue printer configuration.
I don’t know if the CD includes Windows software, but from my experience I’d suggest that you should make sure you have Internet access to setup your printer correctly.
But once that was done, it was smooth printing.
This printer has a small footprint, and scans and copies and prints wirelessly–this makes it a good choice for an inexpensive main printer or handy second printer, for Windows or Mac homes.
No muss, no fuss.
So, for less than $100, you’ve got a very small, very quiet printer/copier/scanner. That’s a pretty good deal.
