D’Addario is a US manufacturer of music instrument strings, and is especially well-known for their guitar strings. But the company has also branched out into making a variety of music instrument accessories, including clip-on tuners.
Clip-on tuners are great because you just clip it onto your instrument’s headstock, pluck a string, and the tuner will visually tell you the note you played and whether the note is sharp or flat.
Keeping your stringed music instrument in tune is essential for playing good music, and this D’Addario Clip-On Headstock Tuner can help, though the display could have been better.
In my review video of the D’Addario tuner I show the tuner in detail, including how to use it to tune an instrument and all of the tuner’s features:
Again, watch the video for more detail, but I liked that this D’Addario clip-on tuner has a flexible display and hinges closed into a compact form so you can just throw it in your gear bag. You need however to be OK with the strobing, color changing calculator font and substandard display. But its tuning seems accurate, so if it helps you play in tune, then I guess that’s all that really matters.
