I had wanted a durable bag for taking to the gym or for a carry on bag for a short trip, so I was really skeptical when ordering this Leather Duffel Bag from Leather Centric. However, I was pleasantly surprised upon receiving it–in an age of synthetics, this is a quality leather duffel bag. The bag is made from a thick buffalo leather–red with an orange undertone. The handles, zipper closures (there are two zipper closures for the main compartment, so you can open/close it from either direction), shoulder strap pad, and other attachments are a medium brown leather. The overall dimensions are about 19 x 10 x 10 inches.
The hardware is made of heavy brass colored metal, and the detachable shoulder strap has a thick weave–I am not sure what the material is, but the strap is flexible yet strong. There is an exterior pocket on each end of the bag that has a magnetic button closure. The bag arrived with all the metal parts wrapped in plastic wrap for protection.
This is a duffel bag, so the bag has one large inner compartment. The interior of the bag is lined and there is one zippered interior pocket on one side wall.
The stitching is precise and seems heavy duty. Overall this Leather Duffel Bag is a very well-made leather bag. The size is appropriate for a day trip or for going to the gym. Because the leather is buffalo leather I’m sure this bag will last a very long time, especially because the stitching and hardware seem heavy duty. I can imagine this bag only looking even better the more it is used.
