The Placeholder Shoe Storage Ottoman holds 10 pairs of shoes as well as provides space for other items, such as blankets, boots, or clothing. The ottoman comes pre-assembled, except for the four legs. Overall dimensions are about 20.5" high, 22" deep, and about 47.5" wide.
No tools are needed to attach the legs–they simply screw into the bottom of the ottoman.
The inside walls of the ottoman are lined with shoe pockets–20 in total, to fit 10 pairs of shoes. These pockets are made of a flexible synthetic material.
The lid is hinged and will stay open on its own. However, some of the hinge screws were loose.
Pictured are a pair of men’s loafers, size US 10.5, inside the shoe pockets. While these shoes fit inside the pockets, shoes that are much larger or wider may have difficulty fitting into the pockets. Also, these pockets are meant for shoes, not boots.
The shoe pockets do not reach all the way to the bottom of the ottoman. Note that you don’t have to use these pockets for shoes if you don’t want to!
Overall, this is an attractive ottoman that can store shoes as well as other items. The build quality is OK, and though the velvet fabric feels smooth to the touch, it is not clear how long-lasting the fabric will be. So while the ottoman is sturdy to sit on, I’m not sure this is meant for heavy use. But for the right room, this ottoman is a functional piece of furniture that provides multiple storage options.
